A Little Help Please

help pleaseOkay! Okay! I know I am not doing well at this whole blogging thing.  I have been majorly distracted with the new business thing… My sincerest apologies.

With that being said, I need a little help.  I am revamping this site and need need your input!  What does The Dynamic Mommy say to you?  When you see that name, what do you expect to see?  Do you like the avatar I have on the page now?  What about the layout?

I would like everyone’s opinion please.  This will help me immensely… If you would like, please share with anyone that you know for their input as well.  I would really like to make this work.  What are some topics or categories that you would like to see?  If you are an expert in a particular field, would you like to contribute?

I have one special person who believes in me and I am supposed to blog for her as well, but I am afraid I have let her down as well… I want to honor my obligations and get this going!  I am working on making my business successful (I am a Tastefully Simple Consultant), but have plenty of  time to get this blog to its full glory!!  With your help I know it can happen!!

With Gratitude,

Patricia

What a difference!

Hello Friends!  It has been awhile hasn’t it?  Where have I been you ask?  Well, moving from the big city of Atlanta, GA to the small town of Sinton, TX, just outside of Corpus Christi, has been a little more challenging than I thought!

We are so used to the fast pace life of being in a big city.  The difference is just amazing!  Here, life is in the slow lane.  Although the speed limit goes up to 75 miles per hour, there  are not a lot of folks doing that speed. And there is barely any traffic!  Let me give you an example.  I used to live about 6 miles away from a Walmart and it took me 15 to 20 minutes to get there.  I now live 16 miles away from the closest Walmart  and it takes me the same amount of time!  Go figure….

The grocery stores are a little smaller than I am used to.  But I will give kudos to the HEB in Portland because it is the closest to the Publix and Kroger that I frequented in Atlanta.  The nearest Whole Foods is in San Antonio, which is about 130 miles away.  But there are plenty of fruit and vegetable stands that have great quality items and pretty darn fresh.

Although we live outside of Corpus Christi, that city is just expanding and it’s arms are stretching more and more.  Of course, one of its best features are the beaches – miles and miles of them… we have already visited on multiple occasions during warmer weather and I just love it and so does my family.

Speaking of family, that is the very best part of moving back here.  Seeing my extended family and being with them has just been wonderful!  Seeing our daughter playing with her cousins, being tossed up in the air by her grandfather, and just being loved on warms my heart.  I have been away too long – 12 years too long.  I am enjoying every minute of everyday with every chance I get to be with my family.

Although I miss Atlanta and all its beauty, tolerable weather, our friends, and the hustle and bustle, my home is here in Texas right now…
